MOPH TX was chartered on February 22, 1984 and is comprised of 16 Chapters of the MOPH, representing approximately 47,000 living recipients of the Purple Heart in the State of Texas. MOPH TX is unique among all veteran service organizations in that our membership is comprised entirely of combat veterans who were wounded in action. The mission of the MOPH is to foster an environment of goodwill and camaraderie among combat wounded veterans, promote patriotism, support necessary legislative initiatives, and most importantly, provide service to all veterans and their families. All persons of good moral character who are awarded the Purple Heart Medal by the Government of the United States AND are Active Duty or have an Honorable or General discharge are eligible for active membership in the MOPH of the U.S.A.

If you or someone in your family have received the Purple Heart Medal, we invite you to join us today to carry on our mission. The MOPH is comprised of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although our membership is restricted to the combat wounded, we support all veterans.
*Please note that the MOPH does not have posthumous memberships; only living Purple Heart Recipients are eligible for membership.
